Earlier this month, Smurfs' Village received an update that blasted the game off to space, with the introduction of Astro Smurf and an unexplored planet on which to build a new village. Unfortunately the button on this review only allows me to choose from whatever age and then UNDER instead of whatever the age and then older hence the reason for my choice of 17yrs and under, if this makes sense. **To play the game, I recommend the required age should be starting from 9 years old plus+. If this is what you want and don't mind spending your hard earned REAL money then, go for it! In the end you end up spending more real berries even after you've already spent $200 worth of berries with them to get to the VIP level. This company take so much from consumers and give very little in return!! Don't even worry about going VIP because there is no real privilege there either. With the price you pay for the Smurf Village, you're better off with games like Minecraft for eg, that allows children to develop their creativity or even strategy games like Eufloria both available on the iPad/iPhone.Ĥ) if you have a tendency for a gambling habit, a spendthrift, or just plain impatient, games like the Smurf Village will have you spending your money in no time at all.ĥ) When you plant your vegetables and forget to harvest, it will wilt!! There is no mercy from Beeline. On top of this, the asking amount of rocks, wood, dyes ets from the stages ranges from 75-800 for each items per level stages.īefore you start spending $9.99 to $99.00 + on this game, think wisely what your money can buy versus just a game that doesn't even stimulate your child's mind because all you do is press buttons on this game, there is no mental challenge offered in the Smurf Village. This also takes forever it would seem because you only get 9 rocks from Miner Smurf 12 wood from Timber Smurf on each play and depending which mini games you play can take you up to 24 hours of wait before you can play the mini games again. You will be required more rocks, wood, dyes and stardust, which means more work for you to generate rocks, wood, etc. Some of the items you bought with your berries will require up level 5 or 8 stages to build.
125 berries will not get you very far which means you'll have to spend more!! Another thing is once you get the items for eg the Windmill which generates ONE berry once a week, you will have to rebuild it after purchasing it with Smurfberries. 125 berries may seem a lot but its not! Why? Because each huts or items that helps generate berries will cost 25-35 berries and more depending what you want. You really have to SPEND REAL MONEY to help you a bit.ģ) The worst part about spending money on this game is this: they will charge you $9.99 for a 125 berries. Even playing the mini-games will not get you much. The amount of "XP" given after playing the mini-games pending which one's you play can range from 100-1200XP. By the way, most of these mini-games will make you wait from 5-24hrs before you can play again. (Talk about rip-off! You would think with that kind of amount of XP accumulated, you would get ahead a lot but NO!)To level up quicker, you have to work extremely hard by planting, buy lots of items that will give lots of XP and playing the mini-games provided by Handy Smurf's, Papa Smurf, Miner Smurf, Baker Smurf etc.

For eg, I have in my Space (Swoof) planet: 7 trees each gives 500XP Baker's hut plus 2 accessories beside him gives 700XP and (bought with gold coins from Smurfs planting vegetables in the garden) items that give 350XP, and so I have bought about 2000 of these (2000 items x 350XP = 700,000XP in total and all together they only level me up by 16%. To prevent this from happening, you must wait a few seconds to allow the screen for infomercials and ads to pop up first if there is any before pressing the "start" button.Ģ) It takes forever to build the village. It is rather frustrating when you first turn on the iPad to press "start" and end up being brought to the app store immediately.

The Smurf Village game is about recreating the village by the player.Īlthough it is cute and fun at the beginning, the game becomes tiresome for anybody including adults who play this game!! I would not recommend this for kids or even adults personally because:ġ) it is full of adverts to entice you with other games available on the app.
